Samir became a VC in 2001 when he joined Acer Technology Ventures- a $260 million institutional venture fund investing in technology and services companies in India, U.S. and Asia Pacific. Samir led the firm’s early-stage India practice and played an active role on the Boards of a number of Indian and U.S. technology startups, resulting in several profitable exits to date including RelQ and Indecomm Global Services. Since co-founding Inventus with Kanwal & John, Samir has been a Board Director at Cbazaar, InstaHealth, Savaari, Sokrati & Telibrahma.

Samir has a well established network of business contacts throughout India and the Asia Pacific region. Samir is on the Governing Body of TiE Bangalore, and is an active Charter Member mentoring entrepreneurs. Samir is also active in his IIT & IIM Alumni networks, and is an active speaker at various entrepreneurial events.
