Neeraj Mendiratta

Neeraj Mendiratta is the founder and CEO of KnovaOne, a previous company of his. Neeraj has also been the Vice President of Default Servicing at Ocwen Financial Corporation from August 2011 to September 2012. In this position, they managed a $25 Billion outstanding principal portfolio of foreclosure and bankruptcy debt. Neeraj developed strategies and improved processes to increase foreclosure sales and reduce timelines, as well as implemented procedures to ensure compliance to all federal, state and investor rules and guidelines as they related to foreclosures and bankruptcies. In addition, they built analytical infrastructure to measure and monitor performance of vendors (~300 attorney firms) and operations (~1,000 associates). Neeraj provided periodic reports and responded to inquiries by investors, auditors, regulators, and rating agencies for their portfolio as well as entire default operations.

During their time at Ocwen Financial Corporation, Neeraj was successful in integrating several acquired portfolios and raising their performance to match legacy portfolio resulting in 5-10% improvement. Neeraj also improved processes and procedures leading to 10-20% decrease in foreclosure timelines and increase in sales. Furthermore, they rolled-out new vendor performance scorecards that identified opportunity savings of 10% by shifting business from low-performers to high-performers. Lastly, they established attorney sourcing process and annual certification procedures thereby reducing operational and compliance risks.

Neeraj Mendiratta received their PhD in Mining & Minerals/Materials Engg & Sci from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Neeraj also holds a B.Tech in Mining Engineering from the Indian Institute Of Technology, as well as a B.Tech in Mining Engg from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
