Dr. Megha Phansalkar

Dr. Megha Phansalkar has a diverse range of work experience. Dr. Megha currently serves as the Principal Advisor Projects at the All India Institute of Local Self-Government. In 2014, they founded Tisser Artisans Trust, where they focused on designing and marketing rural products made by women self-help groups. Also in 2014, they founded AUREUS Augmenting Urban & Regional Environments, Utilities & Systems. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Senior Policy Advisor at the Centre for Urban Innovations. Dr. Megha was also a Steering Committee Member at the Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council from 2018 to 2021. Prior to these roles, they held various positions at the World Bank Group, Micro Cloud Computing, CEPT University, CEMDS Vienna, and Primove Infrastructure Development Consultanrs Pvt.Ltd. Dr. Megha'sroles involved areas such as governance and accountability, institutional development, urban planning, and implementing city sanitation plans.

Dr. Megha Phansalkar completed their Master's degree in Planning (Urban/Regional Planning) from CEPT University from 1990 to 1992. Dr. Megha then pursued a Ph.D. in Urban Planning, Resource Planning, GIS, and ICT from 1992 to 1997 at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya. In 2009 to 2012, they obtained a Master's degree in Business Management from SYMBIOSIS INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY. In 2013 to 2014, Dr. Phansalkar completed an online course in PPP in the Water Sector from IHE Delft Institute for Water Education. Prior to these degrees, they also completed a Master's degree in Geography from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya from 1985 to 1990.
