Emiliano De Laurentiis

Emiliano De Laurentiis is a seasoned entrepreneur and educator with extensive experience in developing innovative educational technologies. As the founder of Knowledge Avatars Incorporated since May 2013, Emiliano has pioneered the use of robotic tutors, while also serving as a publisher at Santé Media Group since January 2019. Emiliano's involvement as a voting member of the IEEE IC Industry Consortium on Learning Engineering further showcases expertise in defining educational standards. Prior to these roles, Emiliano led Knowledge Environments, Inc. and Lifelong.com Inc., creating custom online educational solutions and one of the earliest online teaching systems, respectively. Notable achievements include directing the Computer Based Instructional Research Lab at McGill University and managing educational software products at Simon & Schuster Software. Emiliano holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology and Counseling and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, both from McGill University.
