Khalid Kayal is a Chief Commercial Officer at Knowledge Economic City since September 2023. Prior to this, he served as the Chairman at Subject Matter Xperts starting from January 2023. With extensive experience in the corporate world, Khalid also held the position of Chief Marketing Officer at American Express from December 2019 to December 2022. Before that, he had roles as an Entrepreneur, Investor, and Adviser at a Confidential company, as well as Vice President of Commercial Management and General Manager of Marketing at STC Channels. Khalid has a Bachelor of Business Administration with Honours degree from the University of Portland, with a double major in Management & Marketing.
Knowledge Economic City
Knowledge Economic City (KEC) is a publically listed company that was established for the purpose of developing and managing the delivery of the Knowledge Economic City Project. The company was formally public listed in in the Saudi Stock Market in August 2010 following a successful IPO earlier that year. KEC is strategically located in Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah (Madinah), home of the Prophet Mohammed P.B.U.H and where the Holy Qur’an was compiled. Millions of Muslims from all over the world visit Madinah during the Hajj season as well as Umrah season.
