Kate Westrich has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Kate began their career at the University of Cincinnati as an Adjunct Professor of Sociology from January 2005 to June 2007. Kate then joined the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, where they worked in various marketing roles, starting as a Marketing Associate from October 2000 to October 2006, then becoming a Senior Marketing Associate from October 2006 to November 2008, and finally serving as the Lead Senior Marketing Associate from November 2008 to August 2010. Following this, they transitioned to KnowledgeWorks, where they took up the role of Digital Media and Marketing Manager for EDWorks from August 2010 to April 2014, then worked as a Digital Marketing Manager from May 2014 to July 2016, and later served as the Director of Digital Strategy from July 2016 to October 2019. Most recently, since October 2018, they founded and holds the position of Chief Librarian at Little Blue House Library.

Kate Westrich has a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism with specialties in Sociology and African American Studies from Ohio University. Kate also holds a Master of Science degree in Sociology from the University of Cincinnati. In addition to their degrees, Kate has obtained several certifications including Google Analytics 4 (GA4) Essential Training from LinkedIn, Facilitation Skills for Managers and Leaders from LinkedIn, The Science of Generosity: Do Good...Feel Good from the University of Pennsylvania through Coursera, Love as a Force for Social Justice from Stanford University through Coursera, The Science of Well-Being from Yale through Coursera, Smartsheet Certified User from Smartsheet, Virtus Training from the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, and Inbound Certification from HubSpot.
