Allison McMahon (Kipping) is an experienced educator currently serving as Adjunct Faculty: STEM Educator in Residence at American University, where curriculum for a Professional Development Course is independently designed and implemented. As a Knowles Academy Instructor, Allison collaborates on curriculum design and co-instructs courses focused on student engagement and learning in science. In role as a Chemistry Teacher with Prince George's County Public Schools, Allison designs high school science curricula and provides professional development, while also sponsoring environmental advocacy initiatives. Previous experience includes teaching various science courses at Howard County Public Schools and participating in STEM education programs with NASA. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education in Innovations in Teaching & Learning and dual bachelor's degrees in Chemistry and Science Secondary Education from the University of Maryland.
