Jamie Melton

Jamie Melton is an experienced educator currently serving as an Associate Editor at the Knowles Teacher Initiative since June 2021, focusing on peer advising, writing coaching, and editing. Prior to this role, Jamie taught 7th grade science, Earth Science, Geology, and Biology at Weber School District from June 2019 to May 2021, and held a position as a science teacher at St. Vrain Valley Schools from January 2015 to May 2018, where biology, chemistry, and anatomy/physiology were taught. Additionally, Jamie has substitute teaching experience at the middle and high school levels in math and science, and worked as a SpeakPal at Omnis, Inc., assisting English language learners in conversational practice. Jamie holds a Master of Arts in Secondary Education and Teaching and a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular Cellular Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado Boulder.
