Jim Clark

Resource Teacher at Knowles Teacher Initiative

Jim Clark is a seasoned educator and leader in science education, currently serving as Co-Founder of Next Generation Science Innovations since January 2015, where the focus is on professional development for school districts implementing the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). As the Science Coordinator for San Lorenzo Unified School District since August 2014, Jim oversees NGSS implementation. Additional roles include District Science Coach and Director of the Academy of Health and Medicine at Arroyo High School, where Jim has been a science educator since 1984, teaching biology and Honors anatomy/physiology. Jim's expertise extends to advisory and resource roles at U.C. Berkeley Graduate School of Education and Knowles Science Teaching Foundation, respectively, as well as conducting educational research at UC Berkeley. Jim Clark holds a BS in Human Biology from San Diego State University, earned in 1981.
