Joseph C. Bastian

Retired, Owner/CEO-Panera Bread Franchisee, Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Bastian received an MBA from Washington University. He began his professional career at Chrysler Corporation and then worked for Allied Signal in their automotive division. During his employment with Allied, Bastian progressed to the position of chief financial officer of Allied Signal-International and lived in Hong Kong for four years, where he was responsible for all divisions of Allied Signal-International. After retirement from Allied, Bastian purchased the eastern North Carolina franchise territory of Panera Bread Company.
