Dr. Erin Phillips

Dr. Erin Phillips has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of education. Dr. Erin recently served as the Executive Director of Learning and Literacy at Knox County Schools since July 2022. Prior to that, they were the Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Bedford County Schools from July 2021 to July 2022. Dr. Phillips also held the position of School Principal at Coffee County Schools from August 2019 to June 2021. Dr. Erin had previously worked as an Assistant Principal at Murfreesboro City Schools from August 2018 to August 2019. Before that, they worked as a Reading Coach Consultant at the Tennessee Department of Education from August 2016 to August 2018. Dr. Phillips began their career in education as a Teacher and later as an Academic Coach at Murfreesboro City Schools, where they worked from July 2009 to August 2016.

Dr. Erin Phillips holds a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership from the University of the Cumberlands. Dr. Erin also earned an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Administration and Supervision, a Master of Education degree in Reading Specialist, and a Bachelor of Education degree in Interdisciplinary Studies K-6, all from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU).
