Knoxville Symphony Orchestra
Emily Drexler is a versatile musician with extensive experience in orchestras and music education. Currently serving as a Per Service Viola and Substitute Violinist at Knoxville Symphony Orchestra since January 2022, Emily also holds multiple roles at Chattanooga Symphony & Opera, including Social Media Coordinator, Section Second Violin, and Substitute Violin and Viola since September 2018. Additionally, Emily is an Adjunct at Chattanooga State Community College starting August 2024, and a Violinist with Huntsville Symphony Orchestra since November 2021. Freelance work as a violinist and violist has been ongoing since August 2017. Prior to their music career, Emily provided patient care as an AEMT with Priority Ambulance from June 2018 to September 2022 and worked as a Retail Specialist at REI from September 2020 to February 2021. Educationally, Emily earned a Bachelor of Arts in Violin Performance from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (2019-2021), an Associate's of Fine Arts in Music from Chattanooga State Community College (2016-2018), and an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician certification at Chattanooga State Community College (2015-2016).

Formally established in 1935, the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra reaches more than 200,000 children and adults each year by performing in the traditional venues of the Tennessee and Bijou Theatres, Knoxville Civic Auditorium, and in non-traditional places like school classrooms, hospitals, city parks, and churches.
