Ruud van der Sar started their work experience in 2006 as a Marketing Intern at Webstijl B.V. Ruud then joined Saint Leo University in 2008 as a Student Athlete - Soccer until 2011. In 2011, Ruud van der Sar became an Account Manager at Itec, where they worked until 2012.

After that, they joined Bacardi in 2013 as an Account Manager Horeca until 2015. From 2015 to 2017, they served as a Key Account Manager On Trade at Bacardi, responsible for managing relationships with key customers and delivering revenue targets. Finally, they worked as a Key Account Manager at Bacardi from 2017 to 2019.

In 2019, Ruud van der Sar moved to the Royal Netherlands Football Association (KNVB) and served as the Head of Sales | New Partnerships, responsible for developing new commercial partnerships for the men's and women's national teams as well as grassroots clubs and players in the Netherlands.

Ruud van der Sar completed their education from 2007 to 2008 at Hogeschool Leiden with a focus on Business/Managerial Economics. Ruud later attended Saint Leo University from 2008 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a specialization in Marketing.
