Federico Lucchesi

Applied Scientist at Koa Health

Federico Lucchesi has a diverse work experience in various research and development roles. Federico is currently working as an Applied Scientist at Koa Health since February 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Alpha as an AI Researcher in the Alpha Health AI Lab from September 2018 to September 2020. Federico also has experience as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Computer Vision Center, where they developed and tested a Deep Neural Network-based algorithm for semantic segmentation of image data in a self-driving car scenario using TensorFlow, Keras, Scikit-learn, and other Python-based machine learning software libraries. Before that, Federico obtained research experience at CERN as a Graduate Student Researcher, working on the implementation and data analysis for the development of a particle track detector based on silicon pixel sensors. Additionally, they worked as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at INFN, where their responsibilities included setting up and configuring MicroMegas devices in the National Institute for Nuclear Physics laboratories, conducting particles track reconstruction and characterization, and performing simulation and data analysis using C++ and Cern's software library Root.

Federico Lucchesi began their education at the University of Rome Tor Vergata in 2011, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics. Federico completed this program in 2014. In 2014, they also participated in a six-month Erasmus Programme Scholarship at the University of Geneva in the Physics Department.

In 2015, Federico enrolled in the MathMods - Mathematical Modelling in Engineering program, a Joint MSc in Computational and Applied Mathematics. Federico spent their first semester at the Università degli Studi dell'Aquila and then continued their studies at the University of Hamburg for their second and third semesters in 2016 and 2017, respectively. The field of study for both of these programs is not specified.
