Martina Barbati Inglessis has a diverse work history, starting with a position at Associated Translators as a Project Manager during a work experience program. Martina then joined PMI UK Toastmasters, where they served as the Vice President of Education and Vice President of PR, helping members develop their communication and leadership skills. Following this, they joined News UK as an Agile Project Manager, overseeing the data technology team and facilitating various scrum events. Martina also worked as a Strategic Programme Office Analyst and Junior Project Manager, coordinating company-wide projects and creating a centralized repository of project information.
After their time at News UK, Martina founded People for Change UK, a charity focused on providing free education, healthcare, and balanced nutrition to children in Senegal and Gambia. As the Founding President, they managed a small team of volunteers and supervised the design and creation of the charity's website while devising the yearly strategy and contributing to grant proposals.
Martina then joined Facebook, where they held the role of Operations Project Manager, responsible for coordinating a newly formed team, improving tooling, and driving projects to execution. Martina later transitioned to the role of System Project Manager, managing global initiatives for the creation of internal tools and collaborating with cross-functional partners to ensure project success.
Most recently, Martina joined Koa Health as a Product Portfolio Coordinator and Product Manager, contributing to the management and coordination of the product portfolio.
Throughout their work experience, Martina has demonstrated their skills in project management, coordination, team leadership, and strategic planning.
Martina Barbati Inglessis pursued their education in a variety of fields. In 2003 to 2008, they attended Bertrand Russell, where they obtained a Diploma linguistico in Modern Languages and literature. In 2007, they furthered their language skills by earning an advanced level certification in Spanish from Instituto Cervantes, Rome, and achieving Zertifikat C1, an advanced level German language certification from the Goethe Institute.
In 2010 to 2013, Martina continued their education at London Metropolitan University, earning a Bachelor's degree in Applied Translation. Additionally, in 2012, they obtained a TEFL certificate from TEFL Express, specializing in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language.
Recently, from 2020 to 2021, Martina attended the Quantic School of Business and Technology, where they completed an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) with a focus on Business Administration and Management.
In addition to their academic accomplishments, Martina has obtained various certifications to enhance their professional skills. In 2016, they earned the APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) from APM association of Project Management. Martina also received certification as a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance in 2017 and obtained the IDM Award in Data Fundamentals from The Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing (IDM) in the same year. In 2019, they completed a course on Leading and negotiation skills from the Institute of Project Management Ireland, followed by obtaining the AgilePM® Practitioner certification from the DSDM Consortium in 2014. Martina further expanded their agile expertise by earning the AgilePM foundation certification in 2016 and becoming a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) in 2021. Most recently, in 2022, they obtained the Lean Product Management certification from Product Front.
