William DeVar

William DeVar is the Chief Product Officer at Koalafi. William was previously the CEO and Co-Founder of Tridster from June 2016 to July 2020. Prior to that, they were on the Founding Team at Better from June 2013 to December 2016, where they held positions in product, operations, and business development.

DeVar has been instrumental in the growth of both Tridster and Better. At Tridster, they helped the company grow by providing fast and simple title insurance price comparison for home buyers and owners. At Better, they helped the company grow by 400% in 2020 to over $20B in annual origination.

DeVar is a passionate advocate for homeownership and economic opportunity. William is committed to making life's largest single purchase, expense, and debt obligation more affordable, understandable, and accessible for all Americans.

William DeVar graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature/Letters with Distinction. William then went on to study Political Science at the University of Oxford.

They are on a team with Jim Kresge - CTO, Rajesh Rao - CFO & Chief Risk Officer, and William Buell - Chief Commercial Officer & Head of Partnerships. William DeVar reports to Rob Finnegan, CEO.
