Simon Moor

Simon Moor is the Managing Director, APAC at Kobalt Music. Moor has over two decades of experience in the music industry, holding various positions in companies such as EMI Music Australia, Sony/ATV Music Publishing Australia, and Sony Music Entertainment.

Moor began their career in 1994 as a Product Marketing Manager/A&R Manager at Sony Music Entertainment. In 2000, they transitioned to EMI Music Australia as Head of A&R. Simon held this position for four years before moving to Sony/ATV Music Publishing Australia in 2004, where they served as Head of A&R/Creative for six years.

In 2010, Moor joined Kobalt Music Group APAC, and became Managing Director, APAC in 2016. In this role, they oversee Kobalt’s business operations and growth strategy in the Asia-Pacific region.

Simon Moor began their educational career by studying Foundations of Directorship at the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Simon then went on to study Economics at Macquarie University, and finally Epping Boys' High School.

Simon Moor reports to Jeannette Perez, President & COO. Simon Moor works with Matthias Kind - Managing Director, Germany, Nestor Casonu - President, Kobalt Latin America, and Frederica Wong - Director, Kobalt Music Publishing Asia Pacific.
