Emilio Peña

Emilio Peña has held various roles in the digital product and design industry since 2011. In 2011, they began their career as an Art Director Jr. (Motion Graphics) at Terán/TBWA. In 2012, they moved to Garage Films as an Art Director (Storytelling), developing visual concepts and storytelling for TV commercials for global brands. In 2013, they took on the role of Creative Director at TABOO-DIGITAL. In 2014, they joined Linio Group as Regional Head of Design (LatAm), managing a 28-person team and reporting performance statistics to the CMO. Also in 2014, they co-founded Kii, where they served as Co-Founder/Product Manager and Co-Founder/Research & Seed Capital Funding. In 2017, they founded Bolt, a digital product company, where they served as Founder/Head of Product. In 2021, they joined Nubank as a Product Manager and Product-LatAm as a Founder & Community Lead. Currently, they are the Chief Product Officer at Koban, where they are on a mission to revolutionize the way money works in LatAm.

Emilio Peña has a diverse educational background. Emilio obtained a Master of Business Administration - Executive MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology in 2021, focusing on Business & Technology. Emilio also obtained a Bachelor's degree from Universidad Iberoamericana, Ciudad de México in 2012, majoring in Industrial and Product Design. From 2006 to 2008, they obtained a Bachelor of Technology - BTech from National Institute of Information Technology in Computer Software Engineering. Emilio also completed their High-School from Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2004. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications such as Becoming an Agile Coach from Project Management Institute in 2021, Product Analytics - Data for Managers from Product School in 2020, Data and Decisions from Quantic School of Business and Technology in 2020, Scrum Fundamentals Certified from CertiProf in 2020, and Front-end Development Black belt from Dev.F. in 2016.
