Yumiko Ito

Yumiko Ito is the Vice Head of the Technical Development Group at Kobe Steel. Yumiko has held this position since March of 2013. Prior to that, they were Executive Managing Officer and General Counsel at Sharp Corporation from April of 2013 to March of 2019. Yumiko started their career as an attorney at Tanabe & Partners from July of 1991 to March of 2001. Yumiko then became a staff counsel at IBM Japan from May of 2004 to February of 2007. After that, they were the General Counsel at GE Yokogawa Medical Systems from April of 2001 to April of 2004. Yumiko then took on the role of Assistant General Counsel at Microsoft from March of 2007 to March of 2013.

Yumiko Ito has a LL.M. from the University of Washington School of Law, a LL.B. from the Legal Training & Research Institute, and a B.A. from The University of Tokyo.

Yumiko Ito reports to Mitsugu Yamaguchi, President, CEO & Representative Director. Yumiko Ito works with Shogo Sarumaru - GM, Industrial Machinery Division, Yoshinori Kurioka - Deputy General Manager, Compressor Division, and Masaki Tanigawa - GM, Aluminum Flat Rolled Products.
