Matt Williams

GIS Data Analyst at KoBold Metals

Matt is a GIS Analyst and Python developer with experience automating geospatial data processing and analysis, to support engineering staff in the office and in the field. He enjoys thinking through the complex problems that can arise in spatial analysis, and creating tools to help others efficiently handle them.

He has extensive experience with 3D data sets (such as LiDAR), web mapping, GIS-specific python programming, and both open-source and closed-source GIS platforms.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of British Columbia School of Forestry, and an Advanced Diploma in GIS from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Prior to Kobold, he was employed in a similar role by a mid-sized Canadian geological engineering firm based in Vancouver, BC.
