Rafael Vaudrin is a seasoned geologist with over 16 years of experience in the Natural Resource and Alternative Energy Industries. He is an expert in executing remote exploration projects and evaluating prospects, using his experience in diamond drilling, mapping, geophysics, and surface interpretations to collect geological information from exploration programs. With dual Canadian and German citizenship and fluency in several languages, Rafael is a valuable asset to global exploration endeavors.

Prior to joining KoBold Metals, Rafael worked as an Exploration Manager and Senior Geologist at Skeena Resources Limited, where he played a role in regional exploration programs at Eskay Creek and other locations, contributing to significant new discoveries. He has also worked on various early to development stage exploration projects across Canada exploring for base and precious metals and served as an Independent Director to mining exploration companies with projects across North America and Europe.

Rafael Vaudrin began his geologic career as a Research and Teaching Assistant at Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen in Germany, where he earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Geosciences, specializing in exploration, mineralogy and structural geology. Prior to his geologic career, Rafael worked in trades in both the Oil and Gas and Alternative Energy Services Industries.

Rafael’s expertise and leadership skills have supported him to create and strengthen teamwork culture, develop efficient operational procedures, and observe and exceed QHSE regulatory standards. He takes pride in his ability to drive projects to success while ensuring the safety and well-being of his team.
