Oguz Oner

Oğuz Oner is an accomplished Artistic Director and Cultural Arts & Events Coordinator at Koç University, where programming and management of the Sevgi Gonul Cultural Center are key responsibilities. With extensive freelance experience since 2002 as a Sound Weaver and Soundscape Researcher, Oner has collaborated on notable projects including sound design for Apple's augmented reality project "Speaking Vessel" and music design for the Akbank Sanat contemporary dance project. Oner co-founded Nu Park, a musical duo, and served as a music producer, while also taking on roles as a TEDx speaker and cultural representative at various universities. A former doctoral researcher at İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi, Oner holds a Ph.D. in Urban Planning, focusing on sonic environments and soundscape management. Additionally, Oner has managed multiple high-profile cultural projects, including those for the European Union Delegation to Turkey in conjunction with Istanbul's designation as the European Capital of Culture.
