Corey Garcia

Corey Garcia is a dedicated mathematics teacher currently working at Ocean Springs High School since August 2020, where notable achievements include ranking #1 in Algebra I proficiency in Mississippi for three consecutive academic years. Additionally, Corey serves on the State of Mississippi Teacher Advisory Council and the Ocean Springs Superintendent Advisory Council while leading the Algebra I team. With experience as a Computer Science Instructor at Kode With Klossy since July 2017, Corey has advanced to the role of Senior Instructor and was featured as a Code-A-Bration Instructor in San Francisco in 2024. Previous teaching roles include mathematics instruction at Hinds County School District and participation as a Corps Member with Teach For America.
