Michael Pierce has a wealth of experience in hardware engineering and supply chain management. Michael'scareer began in 2008 as Director of Sourcing and Supply Chain at MerchSource, LLC, where they managed the development process for over 60 new items per year, successfully managing a purchasing budget of over $100 million and negotiating pricing, terms and delivery requirements with over 200 Chinese manufacturers. In 2013, they became Head of Manufacturing and Supply Chain at LUMO BodyTech, Inc., where they successfully moved production of Lumo Back sensor from domestic producer to large-scale overseas contract manufacturer, negotiated all component pricing and delivery with distributors and manufacturers, and established all international logistics and import systems. From 2014-2016, they worked as an NPI, Manufacturing and Operations consultant. In 2016, they were hired as Director of NPI Operations at Zao Technology Innovations, Inc. and in 2017 they became NPI Manager at Lyft. In 2019, they were hired as Senior Manager Manufacturing Engineering at Cruise, where they built out manufacturing, quality, test and prototyping teams to enable the development of specialized autonomous hardware and grew the team from 5 to over 40 engineers in under 2 years. In 2021, they were hired as Senior Director, Hardware Development at Oracle and in 2022 they became Director Of Hardware Engineering at Kodiak Robotics.

Michael Pierce graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor's degree.
