Sonja Matson

Sonja Matson has extensive experience in accounting and finance, currently serving as Assistant Controller at Kodiak Cakes since November 2016, where previous roles included Senior Accounting Manager, Accounting Manager, and Accounts Payable Specialist. Additionally, Sonja co-owns Matson Adventure Media since January 2008 and has held various positions at Voile Manufacturing from November 2009 to October 2016, where responsibilities included payroll processing and tax filings. Earlier career experiences include roles at REI as Retail Sales and Climbing Wall Coordinator and at the Peace Corps as an Environmental Specialist. Sonja is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Accounting at Colorado State University Global, expected to complete in December 2024, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Sciences from Washington State University.
