Samuel P. Frieder

Mr. Frieder is the Managing Partner of Kohlberg and a member of the Investment Committee. He joined the Firm in 1989, was made a Partner in 1995, and named Managing Partner in 2006.

Mr. Frieder oversees all aspects of the Firm’s investment activities, portfolio company initiatives, personnel decisions, and other internal operational, and administrative matters. He is a member of the board of directors of Alacrity Solutions; Area Wide Protective; Cadence; CIBT; EN Engineering; GPRS; K2-MDV; MarketCast; Meadows Behavioral Healthcare; Nelipak; Nelson; Orthopaedic & Neurosurgery Specialists; Parts Authority; PCI Pharma Services; Sara Lee® Frozen Bakery; Senneca; SpecialtyCare; Spinal Elements and U.S. Retirement & Benefits Partners.

Prior to joining Kohlberg, Mr. Frieder was with Security Pacific National Bank and Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company.

Mr. Frieder received an A.B. from Harvard College.
