Richard Russett

Richard Russett has extensive work experience in the power systems industry. From 1996 to 2009, they worked at Finning (UK) Ltd, where they held roles such as Project & Contracts Manager and Project Engineer. Richard managed engineering teams, delivered power generation projects, and oversaw technical, commercial, and safety aspects of projects. From 2009 to 2012, they served as the General Manager of Finning Contracting, where they developed a new line of business and grew it to £6m in two years. From 2012 to 2016, they were the General Manager of Engineering & Programme Management at Finning UK & Ireland - Power Systems. In 2016, Richard joined Northavon Group as a Director, leading the specialist power systems division, Northavon Power & Energy. Richard provided solutions for power & energy systems, from standby generators to full turnkey mission-critical and high-efficiency combined heat and power plants. In 2017, they became the Managing Director of SDMO industries. Currently, Richard is an AMPS council member at the Association of Manufacturers Power Systems.

Richard Russett earned a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Warwick from 1992 to 1995. In 2009, they attended the Henley Business School. Richard has additional certifications including MIET from The Institute of Engineering and Technology obtained in 2017, and IOSH Managing Safely from IOSH obtained in 2009.
