Wim Geluykens

Wim Geluykens is a legal researcher at Kom op tegen Kanker since September 2016, focusing on advocacy for cancer patients' rights and issues related to their reintegration into work and the legal aspects of insurance. Previously, Wim served as a lawyer at Law Office Vanbesien from October 2010 to September 2016, handling cases in refugee law, criminal law, family law, and social law. Early career experience includes a summer job as a data processor at Norske Skog from July 2002 to August 2009 and an internship at the Court of First Instance Turnhout in March 2008. Wim's academic background includes postgraduate studies in Liability and Insurance Law at the University of Antwerp, a Master's in European Criminology and Criminal Justice Systems from Ghent University, and a Master's in Law with a focus on International Law from Uppsala University, complemented by a Bachelor in Law from the University of Antwerp.
