Evelien van den Arend

Evelien van den Arend has over 17 years of experience in various roles within the financial industry. Evelien is currently the Head of Compliance and Regulation at Komainu since February 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Compliance Officer at EQONEX Group from December 2021 to December 2022.

Before joining EQONEX, Evelien worked at Kraken Digital Asset Exchange where they held multiple positions, including Managing Director Strategic Initiatives, Europe from June 2020 to December 2021, Head of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs - Europe from December 2019 to June 2021, and Regulatory Affairs Counsel from June 2019 to December 2019.

Evelien'sprevious experience includes working at CME Group as the Senior Director Legal & Regulatory EMEA from February 2015 to June 2019, and as the Director, Legal and Regulatory (Trading) EMEA from November 2011 to February 2015. Prior to that, they served as a Legal and Compliance Counsel at Turquoise from July 2008 to November 2011, and as a Chargee d'affaires juridiques et reglementaires at Euronext from January 2006 to July 2008.
