Masatoshi Ueno

Masatoshi Ueno has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Most recently, they served as the Managing Director in the office of CTO at Komatsu, Ltd in Silicon Valley starting in June 2019. Prior to that, they co-founded Corporate Venture Network in May 2012. From October 2011 to May 2019, they worked as a Senior Manager at AGC Asahi Glass. Before that, they were the CEO of Yasuda Enterprise Development America Inc from September 2005 to October 2011. Masatoshi also held the role of General Manager at Yasuda Enterprise Development Co., Ltd from April 2000 to August 2005. Their early career included a managerial position at The Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan from October 1999 to March 2000.

Masatoshi Ueno holds an MS degree in Material Science from Kyoto University, which they obtained from 1984 to 1990. Additionally, they completed a Visiting Fellowship in the South East Asia Program at Cornell University from 1995 to 1996. Masatoshi also has various certifications in areas such as child nutrition and cooking, ESG in alternative investments, food and our environment, responsible investment, positive psychology, and sustainable finance. Masatoshi obtained their Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification from the CFA Institute in 2002.
