Dr. Baffour Awuah

Dr. Baffour Awuah is a highly experienced Radiation Oncologist currently serving as a Consultant at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital since June 2010, where Dr. Awuah leads the Oncology Directorate. In addition to this role, Dr. Awuah is also the Medical Director and Consultant Radiation Oncologist for the Ministry of Health in Accra, serving from January 2018 to June 2024, and has held various advisory positions within the ministry. Previous experience includes leadership as Head of the Oncology Directorate at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital from January 2004 to June 2010 and as a Specialist Radiation Oncologist at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital from January 2000 to December 2003. Dr. Awuah's academic background includes a Fellowship in Radiation Oncology from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Strategic Management and Consultancy from the KNUST School of Business. Additionally, Dr. Awuah has completed a cancer epidemiology course at the National Cancer Institute.
