Jakob Matthiessen

Jakob Matthiessen is a Foreign Service Trainee at Utenriksdepartementet, focusing on European Affairs and International Trade since September 2023. Prior experience includes working as a Management Consultant at PA Consulting from September 2021 to September 2023, specializing in Energy and Utilities as well as the Government and Public Sector. Before that, Jakob served as a Consultant Trainee at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and as a Consulting Intern in Public Affairs at BCW Global. Additional internships include a role in Health Policy at the United Nations Population Fund and a position at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Paris. Jakob holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Science in Political Economy of Europe from The London School of Economics and Political Science, an Advanced Master's Degree in EU International Relations & Diplomacy from the College of Europe, and a BSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics.
