Jon Brodholt is a seasoned diplomat with extensive experience in international relations and political affairs. Currently serving as Special Representative to the Colombian peace process at the Utenriksdepartementet since August 2020, Jon previously held the position of Minister Counselor for political affairs at the Norwegian Embassy in Bogotá from September 2017 to August 2020. Jon has also worked as a senior adviser at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where responsibilities included speech writing for the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Earlier roles include Deputy Chief of Mission at the Norwegian Embassies in Luanda and Colombo, as well as senior adviser at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Jon Brodholt holds a Master of Arts in International Policy Analysis from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, earned between 1990 and 1992.
