Marianne Rabe Knaevelsrud

Marianne Rabe Knaevelsrud serves as the Deputy Head of Mission at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Dhaka since October 2022, following a role as an Aspirant and Foreign Service Trainee. Prior experience includes serving as an Enterprise Risk Manager at Microsoft, where strategic risk analysis was conducted and stakeholder interviews were facilitated to develop risk mitigation reports. As a Senior Analyst in Geopolitical Risk at PGI Intelligence, Knaevelsrud designed and executed targeted due diligence investigations, delivering extensive reports in multiple languages. Additional experience involves project coordination for the LSE Enterprise Ltd's Advanced Trade Negotiation Programme and serving as an Executive Consular Officer at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Beirut, adjudicating visa applications and conducting interviews in Arabic. Educational qualifications consist of a Master’s degree in International Political Economy from LSE and a Bachelor’s degree in Arabic language and political science from the University of Oslo, complemented by advanced studies in Arabic language and Middle Eastern politics.
