Jonathon Lawrence

Jonathon Lawrence, M.Ed., is an experienced educator and music professional currently serving as the Co-Owner/Operator of Kona Ice of West Stone Mountain since August 2022. With a robust background in music education, Jonathon has held positions such as Choral Director/Theatre Arts Instructor at McDonough Middle School since July 2019, and previously served as Choral Director at Henry County Middle School and as a Chorus/General Music Instructor for Clarke County School District. Additionally, Jonathon contributed to the community as a Keyboardist/Musician at Macedonia Baptist Church for eight years, while also gaining teaching experience as a substitute teacher in Gwinnett County Public Schools and a music teacher at Howard B. Stroud Elementary School. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor’s degree in Music from Morris Brown College.
