Ilkka Lagerström

Ilkka Lagerström has a diverse work experience in talent acquisition and HR shared services. Ilkka started their career at Laurea Polytechnic as a Web Designer in 2003. Ilkka then worked at Adecco Finland as an HR Assistant and later became a Sales Consultant. In 2006, they joined Elan IT Resource Oy as an Account Manager and later became a Sales & Recruitment Manager, responsible for operational management and development. Ilkka also served as the Business Manager, overseeing the business and operations in the Helsinki region. In 2010, Ilkka joined Experis Finland as a Sales Manager, leading the national sales organization. Ilkka then moved to Barona in 2013, where they held various roles including Director of Talent Acquisition and Director of Business Lines & Talent Acquisition for Barona IT. Since 2019, Ilkka has been with Konecranes, starting as the Global HR Shared Services Program Manager and progressing to their current position as Vice President, HR Shared Services & Talent Acquisition, where they are responsible for leading the HR Shared Services organization and driving digitalization and core process excellence.

Ilkka Lagerström has a diverse education history that includes both academic and professional development programs. In 2021, they completed the Konecranes Leader program at Aalto University Executive Education and Professional Development, focusing on Organizational Leadership. In 2010, they received certifications in OPQ, MQ, and Ability testing from SHL (CEB). In 2009, they obtained a specialist degree in HRD from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, with a focus on General HR, HR processes, strategy, and project management. Prior to that, they earned a BBA in Communications & IT from Laurea University of Applied Sciences in 2004, and a BA in Business Management from Edinburgh Napier University in 2003. In 1999, they graduated as a Ylioppilas from Järvenpään Lukio. Additionally, Ilkka has obtained certifications in Strategic Workforce Planning from the Human Capital Institute in 2023 and in OPQ, MQ, and Verify assessment from CEB, now Gartner, in 2010.
