Armando Herrera

Armando Herrera is an experienced executive in financial services, currently serving as General Manager of Financial Products and Payments at Konfío since February 2021. In this role, Armando manages full P&L responsibilities and oversees strategy, PR and marketing, digital sales, and product development for business loans, credit cards, and merchant acquiring units. Armando successfully built the cards business from inception, achieving the highest volume of business card issuance in Mexico in 2022. Before Konfío, Armando served in various leadership positions at American Express México, culminating as Vice President and GM of Credit Cards, Lending Products, and Insurance Services, where responsibilities included overall management and product strategy. Armando's career includes roles in risk management and consulting at Siemens Management Consulting. Armando holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an MBA from IPADE Business School.
