Paolo Escobar

Paolo Escobar's work experience begins with their most recent role as the Head of Engineering at Konfir. In this position, they are responsible for transforming employment verification processes, specifically in the UK, by streamlining approval procedures and providing instant verifications through GDPR-compliant means.

Prior to their current role, Paolo worked as a Lead Software Engineer at Solid State Group from September 2020 to March 2022.

Before that, they served as a Lead Software Engineer at Fluidly, where they contributed to the development of AI-powered cashflow management solutions from October 2018 to September 2020.

Paolo also worked at Sopra Steria, where they held various positions. Paolo was a Team Lead at DigiLab London from September 2016 to October 2018, utilizing Lean methodologies and Design Thinking to explore digital technologies. Paolo also served as a Solutions Architect at Sopra Steria, contributing to application architecture design for the Information System of État de Vaud from March 2016 to August 2016. Additionally, they held the role of Senior Software Engineer and Software Architect at Sopra Steria, contributing to various projects related to web application and software development for the government of Canton de Vaud.

Before Sopra Steria, Paolo worked as a Software Architect at Orange CH (now Salt), where they contributed to the development of a new application for managing number portability using jBPM workflow engine in a SOA environment. Paolo also gained experience as a Software Engineer at Xerox - Affiliated Computer Services Switzerland, where they performed maintenance tasks for a software transforming data in the global information system.

Paolo's earliest work experience was an internship at Pôle Logiciels Libres (P2L) - the Free Software department of the Public Sector of Sopra, where they integrated the jBPM workflow engine into a Java EE application.

Paolo Escobar attended Ecole des Mines d'Alès from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a degree in Ingénieur généraliste with a focus on Génie des Systèmes d'Information. In addition to their formal education, Paolo received several additional certifications. In November 2014, they obtained the BEC Vantage certification from Cambridge English Language Assessment. Later on, in December 2015, Paolo obtained both the TOGAF 9 Foundation and TOGAF 9 Certified certifications from The Open Group. Most recently, in April 2016, they earned the Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer certification from Oracle.
