Edward Hursey has over 20 years of experience in the software development industry. Edward is currently the Operating Group President at Koniag Government Services since May 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Vice President, Strategic IT Operating Group at Koniag Government Services from December 2020 to November 2022.
Before joining Koniag Government Services, Edward worked at ASRC Federal as a Technical Program Manager and Chief Architect from May 2012 to December 2020. Their responsibilities included leading and managing a large software development effort for the Natural Resource Conservation Service of USDA.
From 2008 to 2016, Edward was the CEO/President/Lead Architect and Developer at Bitlogic Software, Inc. Edward designed, developed, supported, and consulted on various software solutions specializing in web design and development, back-end software systems, integration, and automation services.
Prior to Bitlogic Software, Edward worked at Preferred Systems Solutions as a Development Manager and Senior Software Architect from September 2007 to May 2012. Edward served as a Scrum Master and team lead for web application development projects using Microsoft technologies.
Edward also has experience working at Computer Sciences Corporation as a Principal Program Analyst Lead from September 2004 to September 2007. Edward designed, developed, and analyzed web applications using J2EE and Tomcat application servers.
Before joining Computer Sciences Corporation, they worked at Synergetics, Inc as a Software Engineer from June 2003 to September 2004. Edward developed software for web applications using J2EE and .NET technologies with SQL Server backends.
Edward Hursey completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. Prior to that, they attended the University of Wyoming from 1992 to 1993. Edward also obtained a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, where they studied from 2003 to 2006.
