Avishek Biswas

Avishek Biswas is an experienced professional in the fields of safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) management. Currently serving as the National SHEQ Manager at Vopak, Avishek oversees the SHEQ and compliance portfolio for two Major Hazard Facilities in Sydney and Darwin. Prior experience includes a role as WHSE Manager at CSR Limited, where responsibilities encompassed supporting site leadership in implementing corporate WHSE systems and developing strategies for risk reduction at multiple facilities. Avishek has also held various positions within Pact Group Holdings Ltd, managing WHSE functions across five manufacturing facilities and leading compliance projects. Additional experience includes roles at Supagas, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, 3D Safety, Sembcorp Marine Ltd, and Gildan. Academic qualifications include a Master of Engineering Science in Environmental Engineering from UNSW and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
