Christian Callender-Easby has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Christian is currently the Founder & CEO of Kontango, a position they have held since September 2022. Prior to starting their own company, they worked at OCI N.V. from 2018-2022, holding roles such as Transitional Consultant, Director - Commercial Planning, Strategic Projects & Transformation, and Business Development Manager. Christian also served as a Board Director at N-7 LLC from 2020-2022. Before that, Christian worked as a Finance Consultant at The Chemours Company in 2017. Christian began their career at KKR & Co. L.P. as an Associate in the Americas Private Equity - Energy division from 2015-2017. Prior to that, they worked as an Analyst at Goldman Sachs from 2014-2015 and UBS Investment Bank from 2012-2014. Christian also had a summer analyst role at UBS Investment Bank in 2011.

Christian Callender-Easby has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Economics with concentrations in Finance and Accounting from The Wharton School, which they obtained from 2008 to 2012. Prior to that, they attended Hilton College from 2003 to 2007, where they achieved Top 50 Graduate in South Africa and earned 8 Distinctions in the IEB Senior Certificate Examinations. Christian also holds a Limited Representative - Investment Banker certification from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

Kontango provides a range of commercial services for chemical markets and other underserved commodities. These services include market map databases, market intelligence capture tools, commercial planning software, proprietary pricing models, and brokering services. Kontango helps trading teams in opaque, illiquid markets to increase discipline, gather and store market intelligence, and evaluate more alternatives to optimize their day-to-day physical trading. As of year end 2023, 7 million tons / $2.5bn of physical trade planning is being managed on Kontango.
