Denise Sumner serves as the Chief Accounting Officer at Kontoor Brands, Inc. since May 2019, following its spin-off from VF Corporation, where Denise held the position of Vice President, Financial Controller from June 2010 to May 2019. Prior to their tenure at VF Corporation, Denise Sumner gained extensive experience at KPMG LLP, progressing from Staff/Manager/Senior Manager roles to Partner in the Atlanta office. Denise Sumner also worked as a consultant at CPA consulting services and has a solid educational foundation with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Berry College, obtained in 1989.
