Richard Steele has a long career in the technology industry, beginning in 1992 when they were hired as a Programmer for ARCO British Limited. In 1997, they were promoted to Development Manager at IBC Conferences Plc, where they implemented a workflow system. In 1998, Richard began working as an IT Consultant for Megwich Limited, where they were assigned to many different companies and worked on various projects. In 2002, they founded Basemap and was appointed as the Non-Exec Director. In 2005, they were appointed as the Chief Technology Officer for PointandPress Ltd, where they were responsible for the future research and development of Basmap's product range. In 2016, they became the Fractional CTO - Technical Lead for Megwich. In 2018, Richard co-founded Agxio and was appointed as the CTO. Lastly, in 2020, they founded Univarsity and became the Chairman, and they were also the Co-Founder of SchalaGolf, where they designed a score card handicap and leaderboard app. In 2022, they were appointed as the Chief Technology Officer for The One Touch Switching Company.
Richard Steele attended Kingston University from 1996 to 2000, where they earned a BSc in Computer Information Systems Design. Richard also attended East Surrey College of Technology, where they studied BTEC Business Studies.
