Senior Software Engineer at Kopo Kopo

Kibet Yegon has worked in the software engineering field since 2009. Kibet began as a Software Engineer at Avallain AG, where they designed and developed a web application for providing digital audio and published magazines to subsistence farmers in Kenya, as well as developed a customized Linux operating system to run on the OLPC XO laptop for primary school children in Kenya. In 2011, they moved to Kopo Kopo Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, playing a key role in building one of the largest mobile commerce transaction processing platforms that serves thousands of merchants across multiple countries. Kibet'sresponsibilities included requirements gathering and long term planning, as well as design, architecture and development of business critical, low-latency, high transaction payments processing systems. In 2011, they also began working at Scarab Solutions as a Web Developer.

Kibet Yegon attended Digital Age Institute from 2006 to 2008, where they studied Software Engineering.
