Kopp Glass, a Pittsburgh-based manufacturer of high-performance, custom glass products, is seeking to expand its team of highly skilled glassmakers. No prior glassmaking experience is required; this is a unique opportunity to start on the shop floor in an entry level position and, where ability is demonstrated, have the potential to enter our apprenticeship program to gain the training, experience, and skills required to become a highly skilled glassmaker.
Primary Responsibilities: Typical job duties could include the following, but are not limited to:
Assists in the production of glass products that are made from molten glass using mold equipment.
Prepares materials and equipment for glass production.
Supports the shop by transporting hot glass on the shop floor.
Uses all glassmaking tools with the proper techniques.
Effectively communicates with others on shop.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
Adheres to Kopp’s Quality Policies and Quality Management process and procedures.
Responsible for following written and verbal instructions.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
