Stephen Lucas

Stephen Lucas, SPHR has extensive experience in various senior leadership roles in the field of human resources. Stephen is currently serving as the Vice President of Culture & Engagement at Koppers Inc. In this role, they are responsible for leading and implementing strategies to enhance the company's culture and employee engagement.

Prior to their current position, Stephen worked at AMETEK as the Vice President of Human Resources, IS. During their tenure, they played a key role in managing the HR function for this global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices.

Before joining AMETEK, Stephen held the position of Vice President of Human Resources at Hartzell, a privately held company specializing in the manufacturing of fans, lumber processing, and veneer products. In this role, they partnered with the executive team to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the division's objectives.

Stephen also gained valuable experience at Illinois Tool Works (ITW) as the Group Human Resources Director. ITW is a diversified manufacturer with operations in 57 countries and revenue exceeding $14 billion. In this role, they implemented HR initiatives to support the company's global workforce.

Additionally, Stephen worked at ITW as the Director of HR. Stephen also held leadership positions at Hobart Brothers, where they served as a Business Unit Manager and later as the Director of Human Resources.

Throughout their career, Stephen has demonstrated a strong track record in driving organizational success through the implementation of effective HR strategies and practices.

Stephen Lucas, SPHR has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Wright State University. Prior to obtaining their MBA, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Business Administration from Marycrest College and an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Business Administration from Western Wyoming Community College. In addition to their education, they have obtained several certifications, including "How to Make Strategic Thinking a Habit," "Uncovering Unconscious Bias in Recruiting and Interviewing," and "20 Habits of Executive Leadership," all from LinkedIn. The certifications were obtained in 2021, with the most recent certification obtained in May 2021.
