Melissa Hamilton has a diverse work experience in the field of Human Resources. Melissa began their career as a Business Support Intern at Land Information New Zealand, where they provided support to the HR and Strategic Communication teams. Melissa then joined IHC as a Human Resources Administrator/Advisor, providing HR support and advice to a large organization. Melissa later took on the role of National Recruitment Coordinator at IHC, where they managed recruitment processes and provided advice to managers. After that, they worked at Orcon as a Human Resources Coordinator, responsible for managing the employment journey of employees. Currently, they are working at Kordia as the Head of People & Culture, leading HR functions across the company and driving strategic and operational HR initiatives. Their experience includes various responsibilities such as recruitment, training and development, employee relations, and policy development.

Melissa Hamilton attended The University of Waikato from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Management Studies (First Class Honours) with a focus on Human Resource Management and Marketing.
