Cevdet Alemdar

Cevdet Alemdar graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Industrial Engineering in 1992, and received his MBA from Sabancı University in 2000.

He joined Sabancı Holding in 1993 and held various managerial positions at Beksa, Sakosa, Kordsa, Temsa İş Makinaları, and Brisa, respectively. During this period, it made investments in wire products for the construction and production sectors in Turkey. He was the factory general manager of the overseas subsidiaries for the tire industry in Brazil, Thailand, and China, and the sales and marketing leaders of the South America and Asia Pacific regions. As Kordsa's Vice President of Technology and Market Development, he led R&D and innovation. He became the General Manager during the growth of Temsa İş Makinaları by taking the distributorship of Volvo Trucks on Komatsu Construction Equipment. Founded in partnership with Bridgestone and Sabancı Holding, He served as the CEO of Brisa, which exports to more than 80 countries and is the tire and mobility solutions leader in Turkey. He has been serving as Sabancı Holding Industry Group President since April 1, 2020.

Alemdar, a member of TÜSİAD Board of Directors and DEİK / Turkey - USA Business Council (TAİK) Board of Directors, a member of Boğaziçi University Alumni Association, Sabancı University Alumni Association and Sabancı Group Chairman of Brisa, Kordsa, Temsa Motor Vehicles, and Temsa Transportation Vehicles is a Member of the Board of Directors of Akçansa.

Kordsa Teknik Tekstil AS, formerly Kordsa Global Endustriyel Iplik ve Kord Bezi Sanayi ve Ticaret AS, is a Turkey-based company engaged in the production of industrial nylon and polyester yarn, tire cord fabric and single end cord. It offers carcass and industrial fabrics that are used in the structure of vehicle tires; rubber and plastic materials; denier fiber, and connection fabrics. The Company also produces and markets fabrics for mechanical rubber goods and other rubber reinforcement materials; converts various types of yarns into cord fabrics, and provides nylon six, nylon 6.6 for use in tires and mechanical rubber goods, and polyethylene-terephthalate high modulus low shrinkage polyester, as well as rayon heavy decitex yarns.
