Teresa Baik has a diverse work experience in the education sector. From January to August 2017, they served as the Assistant Director of Adult Literacy at the Korean Community Services of Metropolitan New York. In September 2017, they took on the role of Interim Director of Education & Immigration at the same organization. In October 2019, they were promoted to the position of Director of Education, a role in which they currently serve. Prior to this, from July 2013 to July 2016, Teresa worked as a Fulbright Scholar for the U.S. Department of State in South Korea. During this time, they designed and implemented an ESOL curriculum for 200 elementary and high school students, resulting in a significant improvement in their literacy skills. Teresa also mentored a team of five high school students for a semester in preparation for a U.S. event.
Teresa Baik attended Roslyn High School from 2005 to 2009, where they earned their High School Diploma. Teresa then went on to enroll at Gordon College from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education & History.
