Yuna Youn has a diverse range of work experience. Yuna has worked as a Clinic Director and Assistant Clinic Director at the Korean Community Services of Metropolitan New York since 2020. Prior to that, they were a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at NYC Health + Hospitals from 2015 to 2020. Yuna also worked as a Guest Lecturer at John Jay College (CUNY) in 2020 and as an Adjunct Lecturer at Seton Hall University in 2019. Additionally, Yuna served as a CDC CARE Ambassador at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention / Caduceus Healthcare in 2015. Yuna has also held various instructor roles at Tactile Brain and Peak Learning Center. Yuna gained experience as a Clinical Social Work Intern at the Center for Court Innovation, Womankind (formerly New York Asian Women's Center), and Bergen County Division of Family Guidance, Reflections and Conklin Youth Center.

Yuna Youn obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science from Columbia University, studying from 2001 to 2006. Later, they pursued a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree in Clinical Practice from New York University, completing their studies from 2012 to 2014. Yuna Youn has received various additional certifications, including being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs-Office of Consumer Protection obtained in August 2020 and from the New York State Education Department obtained in May 2019. Yuna has also obtained a Certification in Forensic Social Work (CMFSW) from the National Organization of Forensic Social Work in 2018 and is a Certified Approved Medication Administration Personnel from the NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities obtained in 2011.
